Green Protocol in Action: APSCC Capacity-Building Programme with Sorbonne, Pondicherry University & JNV

A transformative training programme on the Green Protocol — covering regenerative agriculture, resource recovery, and green entrepreneurship.

APSCC, in collaboration with Université Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris), Pondicherry University, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, conducted a transformative capacity-building programme on the Green Protocol — bringing together postgraduate students, researchers and young learners around a shared vision for sustainable campuses and communities.

The programme convened participants across academic levels to explore the practical dimensions of the Green Protocol — from the interconnected water-food-energy-biodiversity nexus to resource recovery through the circular economy, conservation, and green entrepreneurship. It was designed to translate sustainability principles into replicable action on the ground.

A special focus on regenerative agriculture

A central theme of the programme was Regenerative Agriculture — an approach that restores topsoil health, strengthens the water cycle, and helps mitigate climate change through bio-sequestration. Participants examined how regenerative practices can anchor green campus strategies while delivering measurable ecological and community benefits.

Building capacity for green campuses

The capacity-building objectives centred on equipping participants to develop and implement green campus strategies, create replicable frameworks for universities and schools worldwide, and drive Green Protocol compliance across institutions. The pictorial activity report of the programme was released by Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Gurmeet Singh.
